The Berriman Republic was a short lived iteration of the People's Unified Republic of Berima, existing as an independent democratically elected republic from 1842 until its collapse in 1848. It was the first instance of democratically held elections in Berriman history yet the outcome led to a military coup d'etat and subsequent toppling of the short lived government.
