Eliza Diane Honeysett (born February 17, 1999), known by her stage name Eliza Lordosis, is an Alcenian musician. She gained national prominence when her July 2016 SoundCloud metal single "What Is To Be Done" reached #1 in the Alcenian Hot 100 for five weeks. In December 2016, she released her debut EP Hellless which was noted for its intense sound and lyrical content, reminiscent of the 1990s black metal scene. Between these two releases, she started a YouTube channel where she posted updates and vlogs and later, her music. As of August 2019, her channel has 5.6 million subscribers.
In 2017, her debut album entitled Lordosis achieved international recognition, appearing in the top 15 in Alcenia, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Isokyria. Singles from Lordosis such as "Why Am I Here", "Satan's Dues", and "Her Intense", all simultaneously occupied spots in the Alcenian Hot 100, with "Her Intense" reaching #1 for two weeks. In 2018, she released another EP entitled Heavenful which represented a departure from metal and into pop music, which caused it to have a mixed reception. Nonetheless, it remained popular with several singles from the EP, including "Bent" and "Sydney" reaching the Alcenian Top 40.
In January 2019, she announced a second album, to be entitled Hostis Humani Generis and slated for an October 2019 release.
Early life
Eliza Diane Honeysett was born on February 17, 1999 to Marianne (née Schmidt) and Charles Honeysett in Granger, Nievia, Alcenia. Lordosis is the second of three children, having an older brother and younger sister. She is of English and German descent. When Lordosis was 4, her father's job required their family to move to Canada and they lived in Vancouver, British Columbia until Lordosis was 8 years old. At the age of 10, she acquired an electric guitar her grandfather owned and learned to play it and began making her own music not long after. In 2015, she created her SoundCloud account with the name Diabolic Diane. Most of the content she made prior to 2016 has been deleted or reworked into one of her two EPs.
