Reed's first solo album, Hearts, was released on June 7, 2015.

Biography

Early years

Jackie Walton Reed was born to Robert John "Roger" Reed and Donna Reed (née Lucas) in Seward, Yewi. She received her second name, Walton, in honor of Alexander Walton, head of Seward fire department in 1889-1895, to whom Jackie is related through her mother. She has three siblings: two older twins Aubrey and Stanley, and younger brother Michael. Reed herself described her family in an interview as "outrageously average".

Reed possessed musical talent from an early age. She started writing her own songs from the age of nine, and had full support from her family. In 2007, she was first introduced to electronic music; according to Reed herself, she had a desire to create such music the moment she heard it.

In 2009, Reed started uploading her music on the internet under the alias Jabba Wox. She entered a remix contest held by Kriipy Kiid with a remix of his track "Fare Well" in 2011, where she placed first in number of user votes.

2012-2013: "Great Expectations" to No Silence

Reed was contacted by Albright soon after the Kriipy Kiid remix contest, her being offered to sign with Albright's Logical Recordings. In February 2012, it was confirmed that Reed would join Logical and release her first EP on the same year.
