In the later members of Pseudofelis, the range continued to contract, in spite of becoming slimmer and faster. Length stayed as it was in P. paradoxia. The last known fossil (a P. terminos from the coast of Iran) is dated to just past the Miocene-Pliocene boundary. With its passing, it left just two genera of the order to try to compete in a world dominated by Dismilans and Carnivora vera. The species are (bottom to top of chart): P. paradoxia, P. elegans, P. rapid, P. farsi, P. thebes, P. sumer, P. terminos.
