The Chancellor of Brazoria (Spanish: Canciller de Brazoria, German: Kanzler Brazorien, French: Chancelier de Brazorie) is the leader of the majority party or coalition of parties in the nation's unicameral Diet. The President officially appoints the Chancellor following a vote of confidence in the Diet, which typically takes place during the first session of a newly elected Diet. The Chancellor has resided at Pease Manour since 1857 in the capital of Austin. The incumbent, Robert Whitmore, is the 18th Chancellor to hold the post since the foundation of the contemporary parliamentary system in 1848.
