Born into a wealthy family of chemists in the eastern Tyrburgian city of Rhenburg (then part of the Kingdom of Helvore) in July 1883, Koreviz was the youngest son of eight children. As a pianist and oboist with considerable talent and technical skill, Koreviz was admitted to the Royal College of Music in Mitte, Tyrburg at the age of 17, where he briefly studied composition under Hezékiah te Ve̗a and Gustav Mahler during their tenures at the college. A chance collaboration with the Tyrburgian Ballet Nationale lead to Koreviz's rise to fame, with the performance of the highly popular ballet - Le Raitre̗ ('The Glass-Wraith') in February 1903.
The subsequent performance of two ballets (Les Miseries and Of Phoebus) and the opera Eskanderae in conjunction with the Ballet Nationale and Royal Opera in Tyrburg resulted in Koreviz's ascension to relative musical infamy as his music became more and more experimental. The Blood Revolution of 1905 in Tyrburg lead to Koreviz fleeing the despotic Retka regime and emigrating to Aiffelte̗a in the Kingdom of Helvore.
