The Sierran Royal Space Force (SRSF) is the space warfare service branch of the Sierran Crown Armed Forces, one of the seven uniformed service branches of the armed forces, and is only one of two independent space branches on the planet. Along with the Sierran Royal Air Force, the Space Force is part of the Department of the Air Force, one of the three civilian-led military departments in the Ministry of Defense, and is also overseen by the Secretary of the Air Force, a civilian appointee who reports to the Minister of Defense. The highest-ranking officer of is the Chief of Staff of the Space Force who is a member of the Joint Chiefs of the Defense Staff and oversees all operations and units of the Space Force with the support of over superior officers and advisors.

The Sierran Royal Space Force has its origins in the Cold War where the federal government began exploring the possibility of military operations in both areospace and outer space in hopes of being able to gain a new edge over its rival, the United Commonwealth, and would begin training programs of the air force for space programs. Numerous of these programs existed, but they would all be merged together in 1982 to form the Sierran Space Command under the Sierran Royal Air Force as space technology had advanced and the emergence of new communication and military satellites had the idea of a space force possible. Many of these satellites would later be tested in the 1987 Antillean War of the Central American crisis and played a role in inhibating the deployments of the Continental Armed Forces in the region. These satallite communication operations and other support missions throughout the Cold War during the Vietnam War, Columbia War, and other conflicts both during and after the Cold War gave hope and confidence to Sierra's military and political leaders on the future of space warfare.

The Royal Space Force is the smallest branch of the armed forces with around 5,822 personnel and 72 spacecraft as of 2021. Standard equipment consists of Global Positioning Systems (GPS), military and communication satellites, and the space surveillance network.

The first discussions of a space force began in 1961 during the premiership of Alfred von Schliefen as the Prime Minister had considered investing in potential military operations in space. It wouldn't be until 1982 that the Royal Air Force Space Command would be established and be the de-facto space force of the Sierran Armed Forces until 2019 when the Royal Space Force was formally established on December 20 by Prime Minister Nemesis Heartwell following the passage of the National Defense Act of 2019 in Parliament which received some bipartisan support and created the newest independent branch of the Sierran military.
