Ukraine is a partial monarchy located on the Black Sea. It has an inherited monarchy as its executive branch and a unicameral, democratic parliament as its legislative branch. Its name is Ukrainian for seacoast. In its early years it was know as Kievian Rus & dominated the other Russian ethnic groups. After winning its independence it ruled Belarus until it broke away in 1921. Capital: Kiev
