Section 1.
In determining the meaning of any act of Congress passed after 1990 —
- "He", "him", "his", and "man" shall mean only male persons.
- "She", "her", "hers", and "woman" shall mean only female persons.
- "They", "them", and "theirs" shall mean only persons of both sexes.
- "Person" shall mean only human beings (homo sapiens).
- "Legal person" shall mean only legal corporations and collectives acting as one entity.
- "Signature" or "subscription" shall mean any mark unique to a person that they intended as such.
- "Oath" means any promise taken upon the assumption of office under the Union and Republic of Alcenia.
- "Sworn" means to have taken an oath.
- "Officer" means only persons who have been sworn and authorized to perform duties under the Union and Republic of Alcenia.
- "State officer" means only persons who have been sworn or authorized to perform duties under any state.
- "Writing" means information conveyed through alphanumeric symbols impressed or inscribed on paper or any other legible medium.
- "Photograph" means information impressed onto a photosensitive medium using a device created for that purpose.
In determining the meaning of any act of Congress passed before 1990 —
- "He" means persons of both sexes unless indicated otherwise by context.
Section 2.
In determining the meaning of any act of Congress—
- "County" means any level of administration below a state government and above a municipal government.
Section 3.
In determining the meaning of any Congress—
- "Vessel" means any device created to transport persons across bodies of water.
Section 4.
In determining the meaning of any act of Congress—
- "Vehicle" means any device created to transport persons across land.
Section 5.
In determining the meaning of any act of Congress—
- "Marriage" means only a legal union between a man and a woman.
- "Husband" means only a male in a marriage.
- "Wife" means only a female in a marriage.
Section 6.
In determining the meaning of any act of Congress—
- Singular forms of words also apply to several of the same unless indicated otherwise by context.
- Plural forms of words also apply to the singular of the same.
