A BILL
To amend the Fair Labor Standards Act to increase the minimum wage.
Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Fair Minimum Wage Act.
Sec. 2 Raising the minimum wage
29 United States Code 206(a)(1) is amended to read as follows:
- ``(1) except as otherwise provided in this section, not less than—
- ``(A) $8.90 an hour, beginning on the 60th day after March 15, 2019;
- ``(B) $9.55 an hour, beginning 12 months after that 60th day; and
- ``(C) $10.90 an hour, beginning 24 months after that 60th day;"
- ``(A) $8.90 an hour, beginning on the 60th day after March 15, 2019;
